Doctoral Studies

IIPP offers an autonomous Fellow Program in Applied Positive Psychology (doctoral equivalent) in joint collaboration with University of Swahili, Panama (The successful students will get joint degree - Fellow degree from IIPP and PhD in Psychology (specialization in Positive Psychology) from the University of Swahili

Fellowship/Doctoral studies at the International Institute of Positive Psychology typically spans three years and includes a common curriculum of six courses with other requirements set by the student's area of specialization. In addition, each student will complete a research project under the guidance of a faculty adviser, and complete a dissertation. Students are evaluated yearly to determine progress. Advisers are a critical component of students' experience in the doctoral program, providing guidance in conducting research and academic advising.

The program is offered only through distance/open learning without any physical classroom presence

For admission into the doctoral program, the requirements are as follows:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology/Positive Psychology/Social Sciences/Business Administration/Life Sciences with at least 3 years of work experience
  • Admission are not given to the students residing in Afghanistan, Pakistan, North Korea, Iraq, Syria for the reason of logistics
